About the Project

This campaign started on This campaign finished on

In 2016, one of the biggest challenges facing the IT sector in Armenia was the lack of qualified individuals to work in the field. There were approximately 3000 vacancies in the sector, yet unemployment remained high throughout the country.

ONEArmenia partnered with the Union of Information Technology Enterprises to build Armath engineering and robotics laboratories in five public schools in rural Armenia (in Tavush, Paravaqar, Alaverdi, Noyemberyan and Tashir).

These labs are open to all students and provide them the opportunity and tools to study computer sciences and robotics at an early age, receive coaching and mentoring and potentially go on to pursue a career in IT, which is also the highest paid sector in the country. This project will go on to impact every student that passes through the school.
