Building Health And Hope In Aghavnatun

In Aghavnatun, in the Kashatagh region of Nagorno Karabakh, one nurse was serving the entire community without a physical space to meet her patients. She would travel around the region to treat people.  

In 2015, ONEArmenia and Tufenkian Foundation partnered to build a health clinic for the residents of Aghavnatun. In addition to funding costs of construction, labor and transportation, this campaign arranged for visits by trained professionals–both dentistsand primary physicians–from urban centers in both Armenia and Karabakh, who traveled to the community and provide the villagers with routine check-ups.
