Build Community And Make Music In Armenia

In fall 2013, 1A crowdfunded the purchase of instruments for the Sistema Armenia Youth Orchestra, an after-school program that teaches children the values of leadership, teamwork and communitywhile developing their musical prowess. We exceeded our funding goal and ultimately purchased 4 cellos, 4 violas, 2 basses and 1 violin.

With the additional funding that the campaign brought in, a second musical program, Nexus, was launched. Nexus provides Armenian students with musical education to supplement the standard education they receive through the national curriculum and has gone on to establish a center in Yerevan where all students are welcomed to participate in a variety of programs focused on music and even visual arts.
